Paris-based photographer Philippe Sautier has 10 years experience specialising in fashion, beauty, lingerie and swimwear photography.

He established his studio in 2003 to create high-quality images and master variations in artificial light. Philippe has since set-up a second studio in the east of France, near Switzerland, his home country.

The studio features a range of different lighting and flash systems, a kitchen, bathroom and changing area for models. A mobile kit also allows for outdoor productions, while a staff of make-up artists, hairdressers, models, stylists and graphic designers are at clients’ disposal. Post production and printing are also offered through creative partners established since 2009.

Zero-8 can provide experienced photo assistants and digital support staff who assist throughout the shooting process to help clients focus entirely on their pictures. Calibrated monitors as well as graphics programs such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Aperture, CaptureOne, and many more are also available.

The studio offers a 6m x 9m cove and a well-constructed ceiling rail system. Easy access allows for the delivery of props and vehicles directly on set, while a separate make-up and styling area creates a relaxed atmosphere during a shoot. Additional facilities include a large dining/meeting table, a kitchen and espresso bar, a lavish make-up and styling area, comfortable and variable couches in the studio area, phone and fax, free Wi-Fi, a Bose sound system, and an FTP server.

The Art Director’s Club (ADC) is a group comprised of 607 leading creatives in advertising, design, digital media, editorial, event & communication and teaching & research, who together strive to ‘set the standard for creative communication excellence.’

The festival, which took place this May, displayed over 8,000 individual exhibits including the submissions for the ADC and ADC junior competitions. The contests aim to ‘honour the best work from around the world in interactive media, broadcast and print advertising, graphic design, publication design, packaging, photography and illustration.’ Advertising agency Heimat Berlin found themselves snapping up the ‘Grand Prix’ for their work for Turner Broadcasting System – The CNN Ecosphere.

He has also published a book of images of recovering drug addicts.

“Working with images echoes my desire to understand the world around me,” says Matthieu. “Each element is essential in the process of capturing photos as an art form, playing with the interdependence of light, time and contemplation. Exploring consciousness through the eye of possibility, I am fascinated by the mysteries of form and the surprising secrets it can unveil.”
